Clear information without miracle promises

This page explains two subjects customers often ask about: what a laboratory report can show, and what the body’s endocannabinoid system is. It is educational information—not a promise that a product will treat a medical condition.

Sensimilla CBD lab testing and transparency graphic

Lab testing & transparency

Our CBD is sourced from the USA. This describes the origin of the CBD ingredient, not the manufacturing location of every finished product.

Know what you’re looking at.

A Certificate of Analysis records findings for the particular sample submitted for testing. It should not automatically be treated as evidence for every product or every later batch.

The report shown in our graphic is a historical Sensimilla sample report dated June 2019. We display it as an example of the information a report can contain—not as a current certificate for the entire range.

  • Check the product or sample description.
  • Check the test date and any batch or sample reference.
  • Review the recorded cannabinoid profile and detection results.
  • Ask us what product or batch information is currently available.

ND means not detected. The certificate states that results apply to the sample as received. It records Δ9-THC at 0.03%, so it is not a THC-free result.

This historical report does not establish the CBD content of current products or batches. The total CBD amounts displayed in our catalogue are supplied separately by Sensimilla and are not verified by this report.

Educational diagram introducing CB1 and CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system

The endocannabinoid system

A natural signalling network.

The endocannabinoid system, often shortened to ECS, is a cell-signalling system found throughout the body. It includes naturally produced endocannabinoids, receptors and enzymes.

CB1 receptors are found mainly in the brain and central nervous system. CB2 receptors are associated largely with immune cells and tissues elsewhere in the body. The system is still being actively researched, and this general explanation should not be read as a health claim for any product.

  • CB1: found mainly within the brain and nervous system.
  • CB2: found largely among immune cells and peripheral tissues.
  • Research into the ECS and cannabinoids continues to develop.
  • No individual result or medical outcome is guaranteed.

Important clarity

Information, not medical promises.

Sensimilla CBD products are not presented as medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. Product uses and directions vary, so read the individual label and ask us if anything is unclear before ordering.
